Private Coaching for all Competitors

Competitive
Competitions in dance are to compare its competitors to a standard of technique, rules, and movements, not style. Certain aspects all competitors are required to display: Clean Timing, Connection, Authenticity to the dance. Some aspects competitors use to separate themselves from other couples for example would be like exceptional Flexibility, Body Rhythm, or Speed. There are many ways couples can effectively compete and strategize to produce the results they want.
Performance
Performance pieces are the most open to different interpretations. The purpose of a performance piece is to sell the theme/emotion of the dance piece. That could be an artistic expression, it can be an underlying theme, it can be an interpretation of the dance itself. Perfection in technical aspects is not required, but does help with consistency. Performance pieces would be like an art piece in an art gallery. It can follow rules and it can break rules all depending on what the artist wants. There are concepts in dance as there are in art, on how to effectively materialize your expression or interpretation.
Social
The purpose is to experience the spontaneity of dance itself, to share it with a partner, and to have an interplay, or shall we say, a dialogue in space between a leader and a follower. It can be to meet new people, make new friends. On a deeper level you can social dance and share the impulses that stem from your body as you interpret the music.
